So yeah, these Tyres are super trendy, all the little fasionistas will want them, then they will complain about how heavy their Bikes are. These Tyres weigh 33.3oz PER TYRE! That is 4.16lbs for TWO TYRES!!!!
We could see Bikes hitting the 30lbs+ mark again because of current Trends.. HUGE Tyres, HUGE Bars, Freecoasters (Unfortunately the are heavy!) Hub Guards all round, 4 Pegs, Fat Seats, Longer Seat Posts, Guard Sprockets etc... MADNESS!!

Cycles of life eh! my practice bike has gotta be touching 30lb atm, I don't mind the weight tho its no biggie, although I do feel it the day after a good session, feels like I've done a workout.
cant believe the weight of them tires tho, not far of the weight of my frame. Insane indeed.

I am.a admitted weight weenie, I spend money to lighten my bike. I combine this with strength training and a whole new monster is unleashed. Well, on my racing bike that is. Project fit will be middle weight. The part on it I am stoked about is the failiure crop circle sprocket.

Unless your a park or dirt rider that does all that circus shit you don't really need a super light bike, but I can imagine a lighter bike would defo help with some tricks like whips, and spins tho.
